The 2014 Oscars didn't disappoint! Ellen DeGeneres brought the laughs during her
second time hosting the Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2. The comedienne, 56,
kicked off the show with a memorable joke about Jennifer Lawrence falling (again!) this year.
She also took an epic group selfie with stars in the audience, and threw a
pizza party with hungry Oscar nominees.
The 86th annual Academy Awards
ceremony was also filled with touching musical performances and speeches by
Best Supporting Actress Lupita Nyong'o, Best Supporting Actor Jared Leto, Best Actress Cate Blanchett, Best Actor Matthew McConaughey, and Best Picture winners
Brad Pitt and Steve McQueen for 12
Years a Slave.
Hollywood's biggest (and most
stylish) night exposed what some of the 2014 Oscar nominees Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lawrence,
winner Lupita Nyong'o, Amy Adams, and other stars wore on the Academy Awards
red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday, Mar. 2.
Lupita
Nyong'o
The 12 Years a Slave Best Supporting Actress nominee looked gorgeous in a
powder blue silk pleated gown by Prada featuring a deep V-neck bodice and
low-cut sides. "It's a blue that reminds me of Nairobi," the
Kenya-born star told Ryan Seacrest of her dress color. The Yale grad paired her
look with a gold and diamond headband and jewels by Fred Leighton.
Sandra Bullock
Charlize Theron
The South African born beauty looked stunning in a black satin and
organza gown by Dior Haute Couture featuring invisible tulle straps and pleated
organza strips on the skirt.
Kate Hudson
Amy Adams
The American Hustle Best Actress nominee looked beautiful in a
custom-designed sapphire silk crepe gown by Gucci Première. "I felt like I
was one with the dress," she said of the tuxedo-inspired gown featuring a
fitted bodice and subtle train. The star paired her look with Tiffany jewels.

the same designer.

by Jason Wu.
